Southwestern Christian College has a generous grant and scholarship program to help supplement family contribution. Over 95% of SwCC students received some form of financial assistance. Our Financial Aid Office looks forward to working with you and your family to determine your family's share of educational costs and the aid available to meet those costs. Apply for Your Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID

The FSA ID is the username and password you use on federal student aid websites such as fafsa.gov and StudentLoans.gov. You can complete this step online at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa/filling-out/fsaid. En Español please visit https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/es/fafsa/filling-out/fsaid

Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Your FAFSA application helps to determine your eligibility for nearly all financial aid programs, including many non-federal financial aid programs. You can complete the FAFSA online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. You do NOT have to pay any application fee. Keep all the records you use to file the FAFSA, tax documents, W-2's, child support payment records, etc. Copies may be requested as needed by the SwCC Financial Aid Office. Enter Southwestern Christian College’s FAFSA code: 003618.

Review Your Student Aid Report (SAR)

You will receive your Student Aid Report (SAR) from the Department of Education a few days after you apply. Please review the information on the SAR carefully and make corrections as soon as possible, if needed. If you have questions, call the Department of Education at (800) 433-3243 (4-FED-AID). You can check the status of your application online.

Receive Confirmation for Acceptance at SwCC as a New Student

You must be accepted as an official student in order to process your financial aid.

Set Up Your SwCC POPULI Account and View Your Information

Admissions will assign you a POPULI account, so make sure your admissions paperwork is completed. Important Financial Aid notices will only go to your SWCC POPULI account. Your admission and financial aid notification will include instructions on how to finalize your aid in your POPULI account. You will be able to view your aid and take actions to accept, decline or reduce offered loans.

Verification

***Aid may be reviewed and/or revised so check SwCC e-mail often.***

 

If your FAFSA is selected for verification, the Financial Aid Department will notify you via e-mail and list documents needed. To prevent any delays in processing your financial aid, please send all requested documents promptly. Financial aid awards are subject to change upon review. Student will be notified of any changes via their POPULI account.
