Dr. Seamster, President and CEO of Southwestern Christian College, received the "Spirit of the King" Award from the City of Terrell MLK Annual Program. It was held on Monday, January 20th at the Jamie Foxx Performing Arts Center. The award was given for Dr. Seamster's partnership with the City of Terrell and for his 8 years of service to SwCC.

Southwestern Christian College, founded and sponsored by members of Churches of Christ, is accredited as a four-year (level II), educational college (limited to Bachelor's degree in Bible and Religious Education), with a two-year associate program in the liberal arts. Its purpose is to:
