CARES Act - ReportingDevice

In accordance with Section 18004 (e) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”) Southwestern Christian College acknowledges the following:

  1. The institution has signed and returned to the Department of Education a Certification and Agreement form which ensures that Southwestern Christian College intends to use no less than 50 percent of the funds received to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
  2. The total amount of funds that Southwestern Christian College has received from the Department Education to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students is $71,520.
  3. As of October 9, 2020, the total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants funds distributed to students was $72,000.
  4. The total number of students at Southwestern Christian College who were eligible to receive an Emergency Financial Aid Grant was ninety (90).
  5. The following criteria was used by Southwestern Christian College to determine who was eligible to receive an Emergency Financial Aid Grant:
    • Student must be enrolled at Southwestern College as of March 13, 2020, as a full-time, on campus student.
    • Student must meet Title IV eligibility requirements.
  6. All Emergency Financial Aid Grant Funds were distributed to students equally.
  7. Ninety (90) students received a grant of $800.00.
